COVID19 is taking its dark toll everywhere it spreads. Health systems and workers are on overload and many that we depend on for frontline interventions are falling prey to the virus themselves. People who normally would receive medical attention are suffering at home and only seeking medical help when their condition seriously deteriorates. Family stories of profound sorrow are multiplying as the anxiously desired ‘healing’ fails too frequently. Someone has said: “We need a Jesus in 2020.”
