A compass is an instrument used to determine direction and is essential for navigation on land, sea, and air, thus confining its use to this earthly sphere.  The word of God, the Holy Bible, similarly gives accurate direction for us, but on a spiritual level.  We can know if we are heading to heaven or not. Would you like to know for sure that after this life you will be in heaven? The Bible clearly indicates that we can know for certain!

I would think all would want to be in heaven.  The famous Beatle’s lyrics “imagine there is no heaven … no hell below your feet” is wishful thinking. The truth is that there are two destinations: heaven or hell.   We all will be in one or the other.

The sad fact is that many have a false hope of being in heaven.  False, since the personal barrier to heaven is sin that has never been resolved. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Revelation 21:27.

God has dealt with the sin barrier by sending His Son to be the Saviour of the world.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16. As well, This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; 1 Timothy 1:15.

The Bible is emphatic that there is only one way to heaven, not many ways as some say.

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6.
