There is only one way to God. It may sound advanced and accepting of other points of view to say we all have our own way to God – but we don’t. The Bible does not teach that nor did Jesus ever say that. In fact, He taught the exact opposite. Jesus clearly taught that there is only one way to God – the exclusive way. Before you read the six distilled ‘thinking points’ below, ponder the words of Jesus Christ Himself.
“Lord,” Thomas said, “…How can we know the way?”
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father [God] except through Me.” John 14:5-6 (Holy Bible)
THINKING POINT #1:
You are designed and made to have a personal relationship with God. God honoured humans with the capacity to make informed choices and to enjoy a vertical relationship with their Creator. But the reality is – a great separation occurred and now a default barrier exists between people and God.
THINKING POINT #2:
The only thing God has against you or me is our sin. We cannot go to Heaven with our sin. The Bible says very clearly: “Your iniquities (sins) have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you…” Isaiah 59:2 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 Have you ever faced this reality? Without facing this reality, you cannot have a relationship with God.
THINKING POINT #3:
People try to build their own bridge to God by doing various things, but the Bible makes it clear: there is nothing we can do ourselves to bridge the distance between ourselves and God. No human efforts and no amount of religious sincerity can span the distance. Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV
THINKING POINT #4:
The only one who could span the distance was Jesus Christ. The wages of our sins demanded death. Jesus came to pay for our sins. The death penalty fell upon Him on the Cross. He became my substitute. The Bible put it this way: “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God…” 1Peter 3:18 ESV
“For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly.” Romans 5:6
“He [Jesus] Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24
THINKING POINT #5:
Jesus paid for your sins and mine completely and now because of His death on the Cross, God is able to offer you the free gift of eternal salvation by simply receiving Christ as your personal Saviour.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16
“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:36
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
THINKING POINT #6:
Have you received Christ as your Saviour? The Bible says: “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12
Unless you have a personal and conscious moment when you, by faith, trusted and received Christ as your own Saviour – you will never be in Heaven. The only other eternal destiny Jesus referred to was Hell – a place of conscious eternal suffering. (Luke 16:19-31)

Oh I’m so thankful for the Good News of the Gospel, knowing if you trust Christ as your Savior and when this life’s journey is over or the Lord’s return to be with Him for all Eternity, truly! what a day that will be!! I’m so thankful that on March 2nd 1975 I came to know Christ as my Savior and now rejoicing for over 43 years and looking for the dawning off that bright and Blissed Day!! Oh! What a Savior that He died for me!
Good message Bro, I was meditating on John 10v9 when I read your article. Many try to earn their way to God, but our Saviour clearly says that He is the only way.
Sorry Evelyn, I am running behind in shipping things out. I will do my best to drop the magnets in the mail tomorrow. Thanks. Peter
