Central to the Christian faith is the person called Jesus Christ and the book called the Bible. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Bible is the Word of God. If you could successfully poke holes in their defence of Jesus Christ and the Bible, you would effectively destroy the very foundations of their belief system.
Christianity is the only belief system in the world that has mountains of evidence to prove its truthfulness. This essay is very brief. Great commentary and well informed website, the best I’ve seen an all the community Churches in the Yukon. I was raised in the Yukon, Granville, Bear Creek, Whitehorse, and Mayo are some of the communities I’ve lived in.
I came to the Lord many years ago shortly after my Dad passed away and have seen many changes take place since then, especially in this present time. We need Jesus more than ever. I would like to comment if I may to the great article you have written; “The Uniqueness of Christianity.”
I believe the cross (could be wrong ) the destination that Jesus came for, Is unique to Christianity and none else.
Secondly although many other faiths, teach on the subject of love, there is none that I am aware of that approach it to the depth that Christianity does. Love is the fulfilling of the law and “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, thou shall love thy neighbor as thy thyself.” For God so loved the world, that he gave and he gave and he gave, and he has never stopped giving.
And Faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love. Without love Christianity is just another religion among many.
