NASB Hebrews 1:2 In these last days has spoken to us in His Son
God has chosen to reveal Himself to us. What Grace! He has done this in several diverse ways. There is general revelation in creation. “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament sheweth His handiwork” (Ps 19:1). And Romans 1 reminds us, “For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead” (v 20). We hold a Bible in our hands, the verbal revelation of God. But it is especially in His Son that God has been pleased to disclose His heart and mind.
Christ as the Alphabet of God
As the Alpha and Omega (Rev 22:13), Christ is the very alphabet that God employs to create the language He uses to communicate with us.
God’s message begins and ends with His Son. He is the totality of all God’s message. Messages are composed of words, and words are composed of letters. As God’s alphabet, He is the basis of all God’s truth and the repository of the unfolding revelation of God.
Christ as God’s Language
Hebrews 1:2 states that God has spoken in Son. Anyone who has ventured to a foreign land knows the frustration of communication in a foreign language they have never learned. God has chosen a language for all humanity to understand. He sent His Son into the world to reveal Himself. “No man hath seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him” (John 1:18).
God has shown Himself to be the Great Communicator. Referring again to Psalm 19, there is nothing hid from the heat of the natural sun. Likewise, no one looks at the Son who will not learn of God’s grace and mercy.
God spoke frequently and in a fragmentary way throughout the former ages. But when His Son came, it was full and final, faithful and accurate, intelligible and clear.
Christ as the Message
Letters and languages serve to convey a message. John reminds us that as the Word, God has spoken clearly and eternally. God has nothing to say or to reveal of Himself outside of Christ. The message contained in the Word, the Son of God, reveals His love, faithfulness, grace, mercy, and eternal purpose. As the Word Who was before time began, we are shown that God has eternally desired to reveal Himself to us. The Lord Jesus did not become the Word at Bethlehem. He has always been the Word. He has always been God’s message to us.
Calvary is the ultimate revelation of the heart of God. That revelation not only assures us of salvation, but of the character of the God we have come to trust. We can depend upon the faithfulness of this God for every step of our lives.

Thanks brother, for explaining the great truth of Christ our Saviour in a simplified manner.
We thank God for His Son, the Eternal, Incarnate, revealed, Manifested, Spoken Word that was lifted up at Calvary.
